Tra Vinh University recently organized a training course on “Tax Declaration and Implementation of Accounting Systems, Invoices, and Documents for Household Businesses and Enterprises” to help small businesses and household enterprises understand and apply tax declaration procedures, accounting systems, and legal documentation requirements.
Held over two days—May 30 and June 5, 2025—at the Tra Vinh Business Incubator, the course drew 22 participants, including business owners, household businesses, and cooperatives from across Tra Vinh. The training was led by Mr. Tran Thanh Nhan, a lecturer, financial and tax consultant, and Director of Strategy for the IBAC Startup Acceleration Program, who shared his in-depth expertise throughout the sessions.

The training provided participants with a practical understanding of accounting and tax procedures tailored to various business models, including sole proprietorships, registered businesses, online sellers, and property lessors. Topics covered included business classifications, applicable taxes, current tax rates, and step-by-step electronic tax declaration processes.

Through expert guidance, participants learned how to comply with legal regulations, avoid common tax errors, and streamline their workflows. The course offered actionable strategies to help small businesses and households save time, improve accuracy, and manage their financial obligations more effectively.
The program also focused on organizing accounting systems and managing documents in accordance with Circular 88/TT-BTC. Participants were guided on how to prepare valid accounting books and documents, and practiced using accounting software to make the work simpler and more accurate. Free learning materials were provided to help learners easily apply the knowledge to real-world tasks.
The expert also shared essential tax knowledge, covering value-added tax (VAT), personal income tax (PIT), and corporate income tax (CIT). Participants were guided on how to file taxes using the HTKK software, handle incorrect invoices, and apply different tax rates. Practical experience in tax finalization was shared—from preparing documentation to reviewing accounting records—helping businesses ensure compliance and minimize risks. Participants were also updated on the latest laws, decrees, and circulars related to taxation and accounting.
The expert emphasized that staying current and accurately applying tax knowledge is crucial, especially as tax regulations continue to change. Business owners, household enterprises, and cooperatives are encouraged to stay informed about the latest types of invoices and VAT filing methods.
“The course gave us timely updates on tax, accounting, and legal regulations,” said Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu, Director of Hieu Cao Investment, Trade, and Service Single-member LLC. “It helped my team and me apply more efficient tax declaration methods. The practical knowledge of tax types and accounting software will support better financial management, save time, and reduce risks during tax finalization.”

The training proved to be a success, equipping participants with not only a solid legal foundation in tax and accounting but also hands-on skills to manage accounting records, invoices, and documents effectively. These capabilities empower businesses and household enterprises to streamline financial operations, maintain legal compliance, and work toward sustainable growth.
