TVU – On June 9, Tra Vinh University opens its student exchange program with Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), Canada, focusing on “Women in Natural Sciences.” This activity represents cooperation between the two educational institutions, based on a leadership agreement from both schools to promote international student partnership programs.

The Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) delegation includes Ms. Kellie McMullin, NSCC International Program Manager; Ms. Krista Taverner, NSCC Lecturer; Ms. Susan Campbell, NSCC Lecturer; and 8 NSCC students. Tra Vinh University welcomes the delegation with Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Khanh, Head of the International Cooperation Office; Ms. Diep Bao Anh from the International Cooperation Office; and 10 university students.

During the opening ceremony, students from both schools engage in vibrant exchanges, sharing unique learning experiences and creating handcrafted products. These products showcase creativity and convey meaningful messages connected to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The NSCC delegation receives an introduction and tour of the Tra Vinh University campus, experiencing students’ learning and living spaces there.

Continuing the program on June 10, the NSCC delegation visits the B8 Maker Space – a creative space for TVU students. Dr. Pham Quoc Phong, Vice Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology at Tra Vinh University, directly receives the delegation. Students from both schools work in groups to exchange ideas and develop projects related to entrepreneurship and innovation.

This exchange program strengthens international cooperation between TVU and NSCC and opens valuable opportunities for students from both sides to develop global skills and enhance scientific and creative thinking. In the coming period, both schools plan to expand academic cooperation activities, research, and student exchanges in more diverse, substantial, and sustainable directions, aiming to prepare the young generation for the integration era.
