Tra Vinh University appoints 20 concurrent leaders at College of Medicine and Pharmacy

The College of Medicine and Pharmacy at Tra Vinh University recently holds a ceremony to announce and present appointment decisions for concurrent leaders at department and college levels to 20 faculty members from major hospitals including Thong Nhat Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Central Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, Tien Giang General Hospital, Tra Vinh General Hospital, and Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital.
 
More than 100 staff members, lecturers, and employees from the College of Medicine and Pharmacy attend the ceremony, along with many delegates including hospital leaders, medical experts, and university representatives.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of Tra Vinh University, attends and directs the ceremony. Other attendees include Professor Dr. Ta Van Tram, Rector of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy and Director of Tien Giang General Hospital; Associate Professor Dr. Vo Tan Son, former Head of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Tra Vinh University and former Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

The ceremony also welcomes members of the Board of Rectors and leaders from various internal and external units including Associate Professor Dr. Le Dinh Thanh, Director of Thong Nhat Hospital; Dr. Tran Kien Vu, former Director of Tra Vinh General Hospital; Specialist Doctor II Trinh Minh Hiep, Director of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital; Specialist Doctor II Hong Quoc Khanh, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, along with many concurrent lecturers, doctoral students, specialist doctors, and scientists who collaborate in teaching and research at the university.

In his speech at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa acknowledges the development of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy after more than a year of transformation from a faculty model to an independent college, and highly appreciates the efforts to improve training quality, especially expanding cooperation with medical facilities to develop the teaching staff and strengthen clinical practice for students. He emphasizes that appointing concurrent lecturers represents an important step that helps create strong connections between theory and practice, contributing to training high-quality medical human resources for the local area and the entire country.

Professor Dr. Ta Van Tram states that clinical practice duration serves as a prominent strength of students from the College of Medicine and Pharmacy. In recent years, many graduates from the college have achieved high results in postgraduate examinations at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

During his speech, Associate Professor Dr. Vo Tan Son also sends congratulations and affirms that the development of Tra Vinh College of Medicine and Pharmacy connects closely with the principle of maintaining training quality, expanding cooperation, and placing learners at the center.

  

At the ceremony, officials announce and present 20 appointment decisions to concurrent lecturers, officially recognizing the role of doctors and experts from prestigious hospitals in participating in training and accompanying the development of Tra Vinh University’s College of Medicine and Pharmacy.
