TVU – The final round of the “Student Startup Idea Contest 2025” at Tra Vinh University successfully concludes, showcasing a journey of creativity and dedication. The competition aims to ignite an entrepreneurial passion among young people and identify viable ideas for higher-level startup competitions.
The contest, which began in April, attracted 800 students who submitted 202 innovative ideas. Following preliminary rounds and intensive training, the judging panel selected the top nine ideas to compete in the final. All finalists received coaching on teamwork, presentation skills, and fundraising to help professionalize their projects.

The event attracts representatives from Vinh Long’s provincial departments and local businesses. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, the University’s Rector, attends alongside the organizing committee. To ensure a fair and expert evaluation, the organizers assembled a prestigious judging panel of entrepreneurs and industry leaders, headed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai, founder of the Olympia Education System. The competition also honors the lecturers and entrepreneurs who served as mentors, guiding the student teams throughout the process.
In the final round, each team has three minutes to present their idea and seven minutes to answer questions from the judges. Notably, all participating teams present sample products, demonstrating the high feasibility of their projects. Rector Nguyen Minh Hoa states, “This competition has become a solid launchpad for young entrepreneurs. The university sees entrepreneurship as a journey of self-discovery and development, and we remain committed to creating a supportive environment to help students turn their aspirations into reality.”
Following the intense competition, the judges announce the winners. The first prize goes to BanEco, an idea focused on enhancing the value of mangrove apples and developing mangrove forests. The second prize is awarded to Cameyes for their eye patches made from orange peels, and the third prize goes to Cuhati for their shallot-based fish sauce. The organizers also present Consolation and Promising Idea awards to several other innovative projects in fields ranging from food technology to health and FinTech.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai, Head of the Judging Panel, praises the students for turning their concepts into tangible projects with sample products. She emphasizes that the contest is not an endpoint but a starting point, encouraging the teams to continue developing their ideas and seek funding. The competition provides a meaningful platform for students to apply their knowledge, gain practical experience, and contribute to the economic development goals of Vinh Long province.
