Tra Vinh University hosts Excellent Pedagogical Skills Competition for academic year 2025-2026

TVU – On September 24 and 25, 2025, Tra Vinh University organized the Excellent Pedagogical Skills Competition for the 2025-2026 academic year, attracting 395 students from pedagogical programs. This annual professional activity creates an academic platform to enhance professional skills and pedagogical qualities for students in education programs.

Attendees included Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, Master To Hoang Tuan, Deputy Head of Training Department, Master Nguyen Phi Cong, Director of Employment Services Center, Master Bui Thi Huynh Hanh, Deputy Head of Admissions and Communications Office, and Master Ly Thi Diem Thuy, Deputy Head of Student Affairs Office.

From the College of Southern Khmer Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA), attendees included Master Lam Thi Bach Tuyet, Vice Principal, Dr. Le Thuy An, Head of the Department of Khmer Southern Language, Culture and Arts, Master Le Van Sao, Deputy Director of the Center for Western Culture, Master Thach Thi Ut Linh, Deputy Head of Gender and Ethnicity Office, Master Huynh Diep Nhu, Lecturer at the Department of Restaurant and Hotel Management, Master Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, Deputy Head of Foreign Languages Department, Master Le Ngoc Vu, Deputy Chief of Office, and Master Ngo Le Khanh My, Secretary of the Youth Union. From the Department of Pedagogy at CLASKA, attendees included Dr. Phan Thi No, Head of the Department of Pedagogy, Dr. Nguyen Trong Lang, Deputy Head of the Department of Pedagogy, and Master Nguyen Thi Hoang Yen, Deputy Head of the Department of Pedagogy.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, emphasized that the competition serves as a professional platform and provides opportunities for students to practice and develop pedagogical skills while affirming the qualities and competence of teachers. In the context of educational innovation, digital transformation, and the development of artificial intelligence, teachers need to transmit knowledge while also guiding and inspiring students.

Continuing the program, Dr. Phan Thi No, Head of the Department of Pedagogy, provided information about the objectives, regulations, and contents of the competition. She also announced the Decision to establish the Organizing Committee and Judging Panel, affirming that this annual department activity aims to improve the quality of pedagogical training and develop professional competencies for students.

      

This year’s competition attracted 395 students from programs including Vietnamese Language Education, Khmer Language Education, Primary Education, and Early Childhood Education. The competition featured six main sections: Greeting, Pedagogical Knowledge, Pedagogical Situation Handling, Teaching Demonstration, Public Speaking, and program-specific sections such as Board Writing (Primary Education), Storytelling (Early Childhood Education), Vietnamese Literature Teaching Materials Design, and Khmer Language Teaching. The judges evaluated all sections as having high professional standards, closely aligned with actual teaching practices, and demonstrating thorough preparation by contestants.

             

In the Pedagogical Knowledge section, the Primary Education E – 2022 team excellently won first prize, while Primary Education C – 2022 and D – 2022 teams received second and third prizes respectively.

In the Teaching Demonstration section for Vietnamese Language Education, Le Xuan Nhi (DA22SNV) won first prize, Thach Thi Thuy Hoa (DA22SNV) won second prize, and Tran Vy Khang (DA22SNV) won third prize. In Khmer Language Education, Tran Duc Manh (DA22SPTK) won first prize, with Danh Thi Na Rin (DA22SPTK) and Phan Tieu Long (DA22SPTK) receiving second and third prizes. In Primary Education, the first prize went to Nguyen Danh Thiep (DA22THB), followed by Truong Tuan Quoc (DA22THD) in second place and Nguyen Tram Anh (DA22THA) in third place. In Early Childhood Education, Do Thi Truc Giang (CA23MN) won first prize, Huynh Thi Quynh Nhu (DA22MNB) won second prize, and Vo Thi Hong Yen (DA22MNA) won third prize.

In the Public Speaking section, Truong Tuan Quoc (DA22THD) won first prize, Nguyen Duong Phuong Thao (DA22THA) won second prize, and Duong Thi Anh Thu (DA22SNV) won third prize.

In the Board Writing section (Primary Education), first, second, and third prizes went to Phan Thi Thanh Thuy (DA22THB), Do Le Uyen (DA22THE), and Mai Thi Hong Linh (DA22THA) respectively. In the Storytelling section (Early Childhood Education), Tran Ngoc Khoa (CA23MN) won first prize, while Tran Nguyen Thuy Duy (DA22MNA) and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nguyen (DA22MNB) won second and third prizes.

In the Teaching Materials Design section, Vietnamese Language Education had Nguyen Chuong Phuong Truc (DA22SNV) winning first prize, followed by Tran Huynh Nhu (DA22SNV) in second place and Thach Thi Thu Ha (DA22SNV) in third place. In Khmer Language Education, the group of Tran Thi Ngoc Dan and Thach Thi Ngoc Anh (DA22SPTK) won first prize, while two other groups received second and third prizes: Son Thi Kim Nga and Thach Thi Tranh Thu (DA22SPTK), and Tran Duc Manh (DA22SPTK).

The Situation Handling section continued to highlight the Primary Education C – 2022 team with first prize, while remaining prizes went to Primary Education D – 2020 and Vietnamese Language Education – 2022 teams.

Notably, in the Outstanding Team category for the entire competition, the top three positions went to Primary Education C – 2022, Primary Education D – 2022, and Early Childhood Education A – 2022 teams respectively.
