Tra Vinh University Hospital has implemented a cashless payment system for hospital fees

TVU – On September 30, Tra Vinh University Hospital, in collaboration with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank), Tra Vinh branch, and VNPT Group, officially deployed a cashless hospital fee payment system at Tra Vinh University Hospital. The event marked a significant step forward in the digital transformation of healthcare, aiming to modernize medical examination, treatment, and financial management at the Hospital.

Participants included Mr. Le Van Son, Deputy Director of Agribank, Tra Vinh branch; Mr. Le Hoang Thuya, Head of Individual Customer Department, Agribank, Tra Vinh branch; Ms. Nguyen Thi Diep Thuy, Deputy Head of Individual Customer Department, Agribank, Tra Vinh branch; and Mr. Pham Huu Thanh, Head of Accounting – Treasury Department of Agribank, Tra Vinh branch.

On the side of VNPT, there were Mr. Bui Van Chin, Director of the Tra Vinh Sales Department, and Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan, Deputy Director of the VNPT Tra Vinh Business Organization Customer.

On the side of Tra Vinh University Hospital, there were Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Nhung, Director, and Mr. Tran Ngoc Sau, Deputy Director, along with leaders representing various departments, offices, and units under the Hospital.

In her opening speech, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Nhung, Director of Tra Vinh University Hospital, said that implementing cashless hospital fee payment was a practical step in the Hospital’s digital transformation strategy, helping to improve service quality, shorten waiting time, and increase transparency in financial management.

Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Hanh, Deputy Head of the Finance and Accounting Department of Tra Vinh University Hospital, added, “Cashless payment solutions bring many benefits in terms of speed, safety, flexibility, risk reduction, and convenience for both patients and medical staff.

Mr. Le Van Son, Deputy Director of the Agribank Tra Vinh branch, continued his sharing, stating that the unit has deployed the cashless payment model at four medical facilities in the province, including Tra Vinh University Hospital, Cang Long Regional Medical Center, Duyen Hai Regional Medical Center, and Chau Thanh A Regional Medical Center. Agribank is continuing to expand its cooperation network to popularize modern payment methods among other medical facilities, thereby contributing to the promotion of administrative reform in the field of medical examination and treatment.

The event concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the parties on the digital transformation of healthcare, focusing on cashless payments and the operation of electronic medical records.
