(TVU) – On the morning of October 4, Tra Vinh University held a conference to announce the Decisions of the People’s Committee of Vinh Long province and the University Council to recognize the Rector and reappoint the Vice Rectors of Tra Vinh University.
The Conference was attended by Mr. Ngo Truong Giang, Deputy Director of the Home Affairs Department of Vĩnh Long Province; Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Chairman of the University Council; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Member of the Party Committee of Vinh Long Provincial People’s Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Tra Vinh University; Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice Rectors, along with members of the University Council, Advisory Council, and representatives of leaders of units under the University.
At the Conference, the leaders of the Department of Home Affairs in Vinh Long Province announced the Decision of the People’s Committee of Vinh Long Province on recognizing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa to be the Rector of Tra Vinh University.
The Office of the University Council announced the Decision of the University Council to reappoint the Vice Rectors of Tra Vinh University for Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Associate Professor, Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, and Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia for a period of five years.
Speaking at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Chairman of the University Council, congratulated the Rector and Vice Rectors on their assignment to continue running Tra Vinh University.
The Chairman of the School Council hopes that the Board of Directors of Tra Vinh University will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and working experience with the collective of lecturers and staff to uphold the sense of responsibility to excellently complete the assigned tasks, actively contributing to the overall development of education in the province, the country, and the region.
In his speech accepting the assignment, the Rector and Vice Rectors respectfully thanked the People’s Committee of Vinh Long province and the School Council for their attention, trust and confidence and promised to work with the collective of lecturers, staff and workers of the School to unite, make continuous efforts, make the most of opportunities, and be determined to complete all assigned tasks, bringing Tra Vinh University to sustainable development.
