(TVU) – Tra Vinh University took part in the Great National Solidarity Festival in Phong Thanh Commune and presented gift sets to local residents in difficult circumstances; this activity was carried out in response to Directive No. 07-CT/TU on supporting and sponsoring disadvantaged communes in Vinh Long province, aiming to strengthen the bond between the university and the community, while promoting the role of education in sustainable local development.

Attending the event were Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, along with representatives of the university’s Party cells and unit leaders. In addition, various Party cells, the Party Committee Office, and the University Council Office also made active contributions to the program.

On this occasion, 12 bicycles, 30 essential gift sets, and 150 kilograms of rice from Tra Vinh University were presented to disadvantaged families, with a total value of over 35 million VND.
This event not only demonstrated the university’s commitment to social responsibility and its tradition of mutual support and compassion among staff and lecturers, but also served as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the university and the local community, reaffirming the importance of education in fostering sustainable development and community solidarity.
