(TVU) – Tra Vinh delegation led by Mr. Tran Tri Dung, a member of Central Executive Committee of Party, Secretary of Provincial Communist Party, and Chairman of Tra Vinh province paid a visit to Nagoya City, Aichi Province, Japan at the end of November, 2019. On the side of Tra Vinh University, Vice Rector Vo Hoang Khai accompanied the delegation.
On this occasion, the delegates took a visit to Central Economic Alliance, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nagoya and participated in the seminar of trade and investment promotion which has attracted the participation of 35 Japanese enterprises.
During the visit, the chairman Tran Tri Dung provided a brief introduction about the social and economical context of Tra Vinh province, favorable conditions of infrastructure system, and preferential policies to foreign enterprises.
Mr. Masaki Ogawa, Managing Director of Central Economic Alliance informed that the majority of 180 enterprises that have invested in Vietnam comes from Aichi province. “Japanese enterprises tend to invest in big cities including Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Presently, they are looking forward to investment opportunities to Mekong Delta in general and Tra Vinh province in particular. I believe that through our informative meetings, more Japanese enterprises probably choose Tra Vinh for their investment destination”, said the Managing Director.
At the discussion session among Tra Vinh University, Mikuni Dental Clinic Hanoi and Daishinkai Medical Group, they deeply discussed co-operation potential including research co-operation, improving dental facilities and expanding high-tech dental care services to community.
Recently, thanks to the support from Prof. Dr. Nagato Natsume, Honorary Consul of Vietnam to Japan, and President of Friendship Association of Aichi-Nagoya-Vietnam, many Japanese delegations have visited Tra Vinh University and reached to the signed co-operation agreement on education, internship, sponsorship, employment opportunities and equipment funding.
Taking this great opportunity, Tra Vinh provincial leaders and the TVU Vice Rector signed MoU with Japanese enterprises on agriculture, health and trade promotion as well. In this visit, the delegates also visited Mr. Kawamura Takeshi, Mayor of Nagoya.
