On July 8, 2020, the TVU staffs win the First Prize for the whole team at the 25th Tra Vinh Sports Festival for staffs in 2020, organized by Tra Vinh Confederation of Labour on the occasion of 91st Anniversary establishing of Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2020).
The Sports Festival take place from 3rd to July 7th, 2020, attracting nearly 1,000 athletes from 28 units to compete in 08 sports competitions: men mini football, women mini football, men volleyball, women volleyball, tug-of-war, badminton, tennis, petanque.
TVU team has 63 athletes competing in all eight contents and excellently won the First Prize for the whole team with the following achievements: 2 gold medals; 5 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.
“Attending this festival, TVU has a careful preparation, practicing for more than two months. The happy thing was not only excellent achievements but also the solidarity and attachment from the TVU’s members, athletes and fans” – Mr. Dang Diep Minh Tan, Vice Chairman of the TVU Trade Union, Leader of TVU team shared.
This traditional sport festival has organized every year by the provincial Confederation of Labor. This is a meaningful sport activity to motivate and promote the health training movement among union members and employees. It creates favorable conditions for the athletes to exchange, share, learn from the others, tightens the spirit of solidarity between the athletes and units, improves the cultural and spiritual life of officials and employees.
