TVU – On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2023, on 28/9 last month, the Communications Club in collaboration with the Social Media Club and Labor Union Group 7 – Tra Vinh University is presented in Mo Cay Nam district, Ben Tre province to carry out art performances and gift giving activities on the Mid-Autumn night for 264 children attending local pre-schools at Thanh Thoi A.
The event creates a joyful and encouraging atmosphere for the young children. At the same time, it aims to enhance the responsibility of the school, community, and the whole of society towards the protection, care, and education of children, especially underprivileged children.
At the event, the Communications Club is mobilizing and granting 4,800,000 VND to Thanh Thoi A kindergarten, to be used to buy Mid-Autumn Festival gifts for the underprivileged children in hopes of adding a bit of enjoyment and enabling them to have a complete Mid-Autumn celebration. In addition, the children are enjoying art performances and fun games with student volunteers from the Communications Club of Tra Vinh University.
Miss Pham Nguyen Anh Thu, 4th year Pharmacy student, is sharing: “I am very happy to be able to contribute a part of my effort to bring joy to these children. When receiving the gifts, each child is putting both hands together to say thanks politely; they are so well-behaved…”
Through the event, the Communications Club wants to create a warm and happy Mid-Autumn festival for all children. At the same time, it also wants to convey the message of protecting, caring for, and educating children to society and the community, especially underprivileged children.
