Cooperating with Goethe Institute to open German classes in Tra Vinh

(TVU) – On September 20, Tra Vinh University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Goethe Institute in Ho Chi Minh City to develop German language training programs in Tra Vinh.

Attending the signing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector; Dr. Cao Thi Hong Cam, Director of the Victory Center for Information Technology and Foreign Languages; and representatives of university departments. Representing the Goethe Institute was Mr. Arik Jahn, Deputy Director of the Goethe Institute in Ho Chi Minh City and members of the working delegation.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung said that Tra Vinh University always pays attention to and promotes cooperation with international partners in the university’s development areas. The university always facilitates expanded cooperation for mutual benefit. The Vice Rector emphasized that this MoU signing would be the start of the cooperative relationship between the two sides, opening up job and study opportunities in Germany for students and the community.

Mr. Arik Jahn, Deputy Director of the Goethe Institute Ho Chi Minh City, said that the Goethe Institute provides the best German language classes, opportunities to learn about jobs and life in Germany, cultural exchange, and connections with locals. He added that Germany has quality study, vocational training and professional skills development programs that meet high market demand, as well as policies and scholarships that attract students. This MoU signing is the first step in building longer-term goals for both sides in the future.

Through this signing, both sides hope to continue cooperating to assess the German language training program in Tra Vinh, especially creating opportunities for students to exchange and learn about German culture, and assist interested students with opportunities to study and work in Germany.
