TVU – The project of combination of feeding sea crab and developing mangrove forests co-sponsored by International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) and TVU plays an important role to the social and economical developments in Tra Vinh.
It has been implemented since June 2014 involving 20 households. Mr. Nguyen Van Tran, one of beneficiaries said the project helps to improve environment as well as increase his yield and income.
Mr. Nguyen Van Uol, Vice Chairman of Truong Long Hoa Commune, Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh province highly valued this achievement. “It helps to enhance people’s awareness in forest protection and development to deal with natural disasters. Aside from this benefit, the project also creates employment to the community in general and women in particular”, said he.
Mr. Tran Van Trong, TVU Vice Rector emphasized this practical model must be replicated to more households to increase their income. On behalf of TVU Rector Board, he expressed his gratitude to IUCN, local government and the households for the successful implementation.
