Future-building Journey Program for high school students in Ben Tre, Mekong Delta

Tra Vinh University recently partnered with the Department of Education and Training of Ben Tre to successfully run the “Shaping the Future for Mekong Delta Students” program from April 8th to 12th, 2025.

The program equipped over 1,200 high school students from ten high schools in Ben Treโ€”Doan Thi Diem High School, Luong The Vinh High School, Che Guevara High School, Nhuan Phu Tan High School, Phan Thanh Gian High School, Phan Liem High School, Le Hoang Chieu High School, Thanh Phuoc High School, Nguyen Hue High School, and Nguyen Dinh Chieu High Schoolโ€”with creative and reverse thinking skills and innovation tools to help them develop problem-solving abilities and ignite their entrepreneurial passions. It also offered them a chance to learn creative methods, boosting their confidence for future studies, careers, and community contributions.ย 

The event was hosted by experts from Tra Vinh University, including Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of TVU’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Tra Vinh Business Incubator, Lead Coordinator of the Startup Support Network for Students in the Mekong Delta, and Co-head of the Student Startup Village โ€“ Techfest Vietnam; Ms. Le Thi Hong Rang, specialist from the TVU’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Co-head of the Student Startup Village in the Mekon Delta; Mr. Tang Tan Minh, member of the TVU’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Co-head of the Student Startup Village in the Mekon Delta; and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Gia, Director of Song Yen Psychology Education Academy.ย 

They shared insights on creative thinking methods like design thinking and brainstorming, emphasizing the generation of innovative solutions to societal problems and fostering entrepreneurial ideas. Participants also learned about inclusive innovation, focusing on creating impactful products with limited resources, and the Business Model Canvas (BMC) to structure and refine business ideas. Students benefited from practical instruction on applying creative thinking to daily life and studies.ย 

Duong Van Thinh Phat, a student from Che Guevara High School, highlighted the programโ€™s impact on his problem-solving skills and confidence in applying these skills to academic projects and future competitions.

Mr. Le Duy Hau, a teacher from the same school, praised the program’s practical approach to equipping students with essential skills and tools for various competitions. The program helped students develop creative thinking and confidently apply learned knowledge to real-world situations.
