(TVU) – On February 2, 2024, the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Union of Cadres – Teachers and the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy under the Youth Union of Tra Vinh University together with Cell 34 of the Party Committee of Tra Vinh University organized to visit and give spring gifts to lonely elderly people, disadvantages families and disabilities people who are living in difficult conditions in Tan Hung and Hung Hoa communes, Tieu Can district, Tra Vinh province.
In Tan Hung and Hung Hoa communes, Tra Vinh University presented 40 gifts, each worth 700,000 VND including necessaries such as noodles, cooking oil, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and 200,000 VND in cash with the total amount was more than 28 million VND. This money was donated from organizational members, Union members of Tra Vinh university and sponsors.
Mr. Huynh Duong Tuan, Secretary of the Grassroots Union of Cadres and Teachers, Tra Vinh University, said: This is an annual activity, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity each time Tet and spring comes for the collective members officials and Union member of Tra Vinh university. With spring gifts, union hopes to contribute more joy to families to celebrate Tet warmly and completely.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Khe, Chairman of Tan Hung People’s Committee sent his thanks to the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Union of Officers – Teachers, the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Medicine – Pharmacy and Party Cell 34 of Tra Vinh University for their support and present meaningful and warm spring gifts for disadvantaged families in the commune.
