With a support from Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital, the Pediatric Clinic which is under Tra Vinh University Hospital has just officially operated. Specially, on every Friday and Saturday, the doctors from Children’s Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City will come to examine and treat patients.
Currently, Tra Vinh province still has a lot of pediatric patients, especially poor children living in remote rural areas and those who suffering from serious diseases,… In order to facilitate poor patients to get access to the best medical conditions, with the support from Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital, Tra Vinh University has opened a Pediatric Clinic at Tra Vinh University Hospital. This is a specialized clinic of the Department of Examination and Emergency Medicine.
The clinic is invested by optimal facilities and equipment, with a team of pediatric specialists having experiences and enthusiasm in order to strengthen and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for children. The clinic will perform the task of medical examination and treatment based on route, internal and outpatient examination and treatment for those who are from 0 to 15 years old. The patients will be entitled to all health insurance benefits according to the law.
The pediatric clinic is arranged in a separate area with a waiting area for private examination, play space for children and equipped with modern medical facilities. The daily medical examination and treatment for children is carried out by a team of doctors specializing in Pediatrics of the University Hospital, experts and doctors from Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital who come and support the medical examination and treatment on every Friday and Saturday.
The Pediatric Clinic of Tra Vinh University was treated by the doctors from Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital. Therefore, the patients of Tra Vinh and many Southwestern provinces do not have to go up to 200k to Ho Chi Minh City for medical examination and treatment.

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tien, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital said that The Children’s Hospital will transfer technology and provide technical support in pediatric care and treatment for Tra Vinh University Hospital helping children, especially poor patients in Tra Vinh province.
The clinic went into operation to create conditions for bringing a chance for children to access a better care and treatment services with low costs helping to reduce the number of patients for higher level hospitals, as well as to contribute for an increase of the quality of medical examination and treatment at Tra Vinh University Hospital. Mr. Vo Hoang Khai, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University said.
From June 7th, Tra Vinh University Hospital has opened the Pediatric Clinic which operated by the doctors specializing in Pediatrics at Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital. Therefore, the patients in the Southwestern provinces instead of going to Ho Chi Minh City, they can now go to the Pediatric Clinic of Tra Vinh University Hospital for medical examination and treatment.
