TVU – Tra Vinh University and Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) join forces with Gia Lai College to host a two-day workshop on June 20-21, focusing on knowledge exchange, startup skills, and culinary culture.
The event brings together educators from Vietnam and Canada, with NSCC represented by Kellie McMullin, Head of International Cooperation, and colleagues Manal Saleh and Stephen Barrett. Mr. Pham Van Dieu, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges (VACC) and Principal of Gia Lai College, leads the host institution’s delegation.
NSCC lecturers share insights on nurturing student entrepreneurship and enhancing business cooperation. A highlight of the workshop is the culinary exchange, where participants explore and prepare Vietnamese and Canadian dishes, fostering cultural understanding through food.
“This workshop not only equips our students with valuable startup skills but also promotes cross-cultural learning,” says Mr. Pham Van Dieu.
The collaborative effort aims to strengthen ties between the institutions, laying the groundwork for future exchanges in training programs, joint education initiatives, and internship opportunities. It marks a significant step towards long-term, sustainable cooperation between Gia Lai College and NSCC.
As the workshop concludes, participants express optimism about the potential for continued collaboration, viewing this event as a catalyst for ongoing international educational partnerships.
