Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, visits and works at Tra Vinh University

TVU – On September 25, 2023, Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri, the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, along with a working delegation, visits and collaborates with Tra Vinh University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, and representatives from various departments of TVU, warmly welcome the delegation.

Both parties exchange ideas and discuss the prospects for cooperation in the fields of education, training, and scientific research.

In his welcoming speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung extends his gratitude to Consul General Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri for visiting and working with the university. He emphasizes that Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri’s visit opens up new opportunities for cooperation in education, training, and scientific research. It signifies a step forward in the ongoing international integration and contributes to strengthening the excellent diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India.

Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri, the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, expresses his appreciation for the warm reception from the leadership of Tra Vinh University. He believes that the strong relationship between the two countries will further develop through collaborative initiatives between the Consulate General of India and Tra Vinh Province, particularly Tra Vinh University, in the near future.

 

During the working session, both sides engage in specific discussions and establish connections between Tra Vinh University and various Indian institutes and universities. They explore supporting cultural exchange programs, cultural events like “India Day” at Tra Vinh University, expert and lecturer exchanges, collaboration in education, and scientific research in various fields such as information technology, artificial intelligence, agriculture, healthcare, engineering, and technology. They also propose organizing scientific workshops, talk shows, and, notably, providing short-term and long-term exchange scholarships for students and lecturers.

   

On this occasion, Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri and his delegation visit the Tra Vinh University in Campus 1 and the “India Corner” at the Learning Resource and Development Center.
