New Year 2025 – A new collaboration program between Tra Vinh University, Vietnam, and Saxion University of Applied Sciences (SaxionU), Netherlands

In an exciting new partnership of 2025, Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences (SaxionU) have joined forces to enhance academic exchange and research collaboration. As part of this initiative, two TVU students will undertake a five-month internship at SaxionU, supported by the Erasmus+ grants.

Under the supervision of Prof. Harry Futselaar, Chair of the International Water Technology Department at SaxionU, and Dr. Tran Thi Ngoc Bich, Vice Director of Environmental Science and Technology at TVU, the students will engage in research focused on:
1. BluElephant – compact decentralized wastewater treatment system
2. Aquaponics/hydroponics/ PLANT – Planten, Landbouw, Algen, Natuur en Technologie
3. PUMP it UP!: Data mining and sensoring for safe water use
4. UrbAqua – Resilient Urban Areas through Smart Water (re)use

This collaboration provides TVU students with valuable international exposure and hands-on research experience and strengthens the academic ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands in environmental science and water technology.
