Over 1,000 students voice concerns at Tra Vinh University’s annual leadership dialogue

(TVU) – On the evening of December 30, Tra Vinh University organizes a dialogue conference between university leadership and more than 1,000 students to provide guidance and understand student aspirations for the 2024-2025 academic year. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Deputy Party Secretary and University President, chairs the conference.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector and Deputy Party Secretary, leads the conference alongside Vice Rector Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, and Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia. Representatives from the Advisory Council, faculty heads, and student organizations join to ensure comprehensive coverage of all academic concerns.

“This forum represents our commitment to open communication between faculty and students,” says Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa highlighted the university’s track record of implementing infrastructure improvements and addressing issues raised in previous dialogues. “We’re dedicated to responding to legitimate student needs while strengthening our institution.” 

The wide-ranging discussion covers crucial topics, including future development plans, academic policies, tuition concerns, graduation requirements in English and IT, domestic and international scholarship opportunities, and career prospects. Department representatives provide detailed responses to student inquiries, maintaining the university’s student-centred approach.

Students demonstrate exceptional engagement throughout the session, presenting well-researched questions and constructive feedback. “The quality and depth of student participation reflects their understanding of both their rights and responsibilities,” notes Dr. Hoa in his closing remarks, commending the students’ contribution to the university’s development.
