Over 1000 Tra Vinh University students attend Macchabée ceremony

(TVU) – On February 2, over 1000 students of Tra Vinh University (TVU) School of Medicine and Pharmacy attended the Macchabée ceremony. This annually-held event is to express gratitude to those who dedicate their bodies to the medical field.

Ms. Thach Thi Dan, TVU Vice Rector, Dr. Tran Kien Vu-Director of Tra Vinh provincial General Hospital and the leader representatives from other units attended this event.

At the ceremony, Dr. Phan Van Tinh- Deputy Dean of TVU School of Medicine and Pharmacy said: “We hold this traditional Macchabée ceremony annually in order to show our big thanks to those who donate their bodies to medical field”.

The body donation has touched thousands of students’ hearts and on behalf of the students, Nguyen Hong Tuoi, course-2016 student of the School expressed: “I promise to make my best efforts in my studies to become a good doctor, contributing to community health improvement.”
