Raising students’ awareness of the harmful effects of drugs

TVU – The Youth Union and Student Association of Tra Vinh University, in collaboration with the Youth Union of Tra Vinh Provincial Police, organize a legal awareness campaign on drug prevention for members, youth, and students of Tra Vinh University in 2023. This event takes place on June 7th.

Mr. Tran Van Trieu, member of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Standing Deputy Secretary of the TVU’s Youth Union, Mr. Ly Thanh Trung, member of the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee and the Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union of the Tra Vinh Police, and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan, member of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union of the Police, participate in the program. The propaganda team of the Provincial Youth Union of the Police also attends, attracting over 1000 members, associates, and students of Tra Vinh University.

During the program, Mr. Tran Van Trieu calls on all students of the university to strictly comply with the regulations on drug prevention. This is to protect their health, their families, and society.

The propaganda session provides valuable information and knowledge about drugs and their harmful effects on students. This contributes to raising awareness and responsibility in the fight against drugs and limiting social issues within the university.

Student Cao Huynh Hoang Gia, from the Medical Imaging Technology program, class of 2022, shares, “Participating in the program allows us to understand knowledge about drugs better. As a result, we have a more comprehensive view of the laws regarding drug prevention.”

Hoang Gia further shares, “The program educates us on laws, ethics, lifestyles, and life skills for the younger generation. It highlights youth union members’ and students’ role and responsibility in jointly building a safe school, free from drugs.”
