(TVU) – The science conference with the theme “Southwestern Culture – Features and Values” was organized at Tra Vinh University on December 24, 2019.
This scientific event attracted many researchers, managers, lecturers and students.
The cultural issues including theoretical issues of cultural research, cultural elements and values, the role of culture in sustainable development, the relationship between regional culture with natural features and historical characteristics, and impacts of regional context on the formation and transformation of traditional culture in the Southwest region have been deeply discussed at the conference.
The participants also focused on the history of Southwest region, the relationship between ethnic groups as well as their livelihood and cuisine.
“Tra Vinh University aims to expand research projects for students and teachers, especially cultural research. Although each ethnic group has its cultural traits, the process of cultural exchange and acculturation between ethnic groups definitely happens and this contributes to the enrichment of their spiritual life”, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, TVU Rector.
