(TVU) -I n the middle of September 2018, the first round of Robocon competition 2018 took place at Tra Vinh University (TVU) with the theme “Technology-based controlled boat racing”. The competition attracted 93 TVU and high school students.
Each team designed a technology-controlled boat that would overcome obstacles on the way before reaching the destination.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Dean of TVU School of Engineering and Technology highly evaluated the students’ competitive spirit. He said: “Robocon competition is a very healthy playground to foster students’ creativity.”
Nguyen Dinh Dinh Thi, TVU student said: “This is the first time I have joined this competition. I am very impressed by robocon products because of their originality and creativity. This competition is very beneficial as we can apply our knowledge and skills to practice. Through this competition, I have learned new things about the skills of teamwork, logical thinking and solving-problem.”
Twelve excellent robocon products have been selected for the next competition which is going to be held at the end of September 2018.
