Supporting children in the highlands of Quang Ngai to go to school

TVU – From August 22 to August 26, 2025, the Tra Vinh University Community Service Center coordinates with partner units to organize a series of activities under the theme Supporting children in the highlands to go to school in the 2025–2026 school year at Vinh Son Orphanages 1, 2, and 6 (Kon Tum ward, Quang Ngai province). The program is meaningful and leaves a lasting impression on all participants.

In the program, more than 600 orphans receive gifts to help them prepare for the new school year. This activity is not only material support but also a source of spiritual encouragement, sharing love and care with those in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Phung Thi Phuong Khanh, director of the Community Service Center, says: “To achieve this success, it is thanks to the cooperation, companionship, and kindness of teachers and their families who contribute in many forms with a total value of about 100 million VND. The donations include clothes, textbooks, used skill books of civil servants’ children, rice, dried food, salted meat, banh tet, notebooks, bookshelves, pens, backpacks, water bottles, and toys. At the event, we also organize haircuts for more than 100 children and provide nutritious meals for 400 children.”

On behalf of the board of directors of Tra Vinh University, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, vice rector, sincerely acknowledges and expresses deep gratitude to the generous benefactors. She hopes that in the future, the university will continue to receive support on volunteer journeys, contributing to building a humane, compassionate, and sustainable society, lighting up faith, encouraging students to overcome adversity, and nurturing their dreams of going to school and rising in life.

Tra Vinh University continues to affirm its role as a center for higher education, constantly striving to develop high-quality human resources by linking training with scientific research and community service. This activity is a vivid demonstration of TVU’s mission to connect education with community service, a goal it consistently pursues.
