As Dr. Phoeurng Sackona’s invitation, the Secretary of State, Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MOEYS), the leadership delegation of TVP and TVU led by Mr. Thach Hel, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Tra Vinh Provincial Communist Party Committee visited and worked with MOEYS and Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) from November 22 to November 26, 2012.

On this occasion, the delegation paid courtesy visit to Embassy of Vietnam in Cambodia. H.E Mr. Ngo Anh Dung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation and affirmed the Embassy would offer convenient conditions for co-operation activities between TVP, TVU and Cambodian partners. At the meeting with the Ministry, Mr. Thach Hel highly evaluated effectiveness of co-operation activities between TVU and ITC since 2010 and he emphasized TVP leaders always provide good conditions for training and scientific research co-operation between TVU and Cambodian universities. Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice Rector of TVU presented important issues relating to the co-operative developmental orientation which highly requires the Ministry’s support.
Dr. Phoeurng Sackona also expressed her pleasure to welcome the delegation and promised to support for the academic co-operation to tighten the friendship between the two countries.
At the meeting between TVU and ITC, Dr. Om Romny, Director General of ITC and Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice Rector of TVU discussed related issues to the signed MoU’s appendix. Dr. Om Romny strongly agreed for further cooperation proposals from TVU and this appendix will be signed by the two institutions in near future.
By the way, the delegation visited Tra Vinh instructors and students who are learning in Phnom Penh and encouraged them to try their best in studying for their contribution to TVP after graduation. On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Thach Hel awarded 10 million VND to the students. Closing the meetings, the delegation visited Angkor temples in Siem Reap province.
The visit promised co-operation opportunities between TVP, TVU and Cambodian partners.
