(TVU) – On January 30 & 31, 2023, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Tra Vinh University organized the program “Xuân gắn kết – Tết yêu thương” (the Spring of Connection and Love), giving Tet gifts to policy families and those with difficult circumstances in Phong Thanh commune, Cau Ke district and Truong Long Hoa commune, Duyen Hai town, Tra Vinh province, on the occasion of 2024’s Lunar New Year; visiting and sending Tet wishes to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Thach Thi An in Phong Phu commune and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Sy in Phong Thanh commune, Cau Ke district.
The working group was led by Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, and representative officials and lecturers from the units of the school. The delegation awarded 60 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, with a total value of 30 million VND. In addition, Party Cell 15 donated 10 health insurance cards, and Party Cell 1 donated two bicycles to students in the two communes.
Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, said: “The program shows a deep care and encouragement of Tra Vinh University to policy families and those with difficult circumstances before the Lunar New Year 2024 with the hope that the households will have a warm and joyful Tet holiday.” The Vice Rector wished everyone and their families a healthy, happy, and successful new year.
On behalf of the families, Mr. Truong Thanh De, District Commissioner and Party Committee Secretary of Phong Thanh commune, Cau Ke district, thanked the school leaders for the support and attention to local social security policies over the years. He sent New Year wishes to the leaders, lecturers, and students of Tra Vinh University to reap many new successes in the new year.
On this occasion, Tra Vinh University visited, gave Tet wishes, and awarded to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Thach Thi An in Phong Phu commune and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Sy in Phong Thanh commune, Cau Ke district.
Additionally, the Youth Union – Student Association of Tra Vinh University handed over the Charity House to Mr. Kim Sua’s household in hamlet 2, Phong Thanh commune, Cau Ke district, Tra Vinh province. The total cost of building the house is 40 million VND, which is sponsored by Tra Vinh University.
