On February 2, 2021, The Social Entrepreneurship Virtual Exchange Program co-hosted by Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Canada was kicked start with the participation of 18 students from TVU, 25 students from NSCC, teachers, and faculties of both institutes.
The Social Entrepreneurship Exchange Program (SEEP) is an annual program that has students from TVU and NSCC working together on business ideas that would promote entrepreneurship in Vietnam and Canada. This year, due to the current circumstances as Covid-19 continues to challenge face-to-face interactions of all types, SEEP has been switched to virtual exchange to foster the development of global competence among Vietnamese and Canadian students.
The goal of SEEP is to not only bring about students of both countries experiences of cross-cultural dialogue, languages, hopes and aspirations, and their interests and passions but also incubate and motivate the development of startup ideas among young people of both countries to address the uncertainty of the world economics in the wake of the covid and post-covid pandemic.
Sessions include four large group meetings and four asynchronous sessions in-between large group meetings from February to April. The next large group meeting is on the third of March.
