Tra Vinh province works in Belgium

TVU – Within the framework of the project “Strengthening management and research capacity in the agricultural value chain in Tra Vinh province”, a working delegation from Tra Vinh province and Tra Vinh University (TVU) conducts a working trip to the Kingdom of Belgium from November 04 – November 12, 2023.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dut, Deputy Head of General – Foreign Affairs Department (Office of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee) is participating in the working trip.

In addition to participating in scientific seminars on the agricultural value chain and exchanging cooperation in agricultural management, the delegation works with Prof. Frederic Schoenaers, Academic Vice-Rector of the University of Liège to discuss cooperation on training programs, research coordination between Tra Vinh University and the University of Liège, while hoping that Prof. Frederic Schoenaers will participate in the upcoming seminar of the project. The delegation has a working session with Mr. André Denis, Provincial Senator, Vice President of Liège province to exchange cooperation and investment opportunities between the two provinces.

On this occasion, the delegation contacts and works with key businesses, including the John Cockerill group in the fields of food, urban areas, logistics, construction, hotels, and tourism, and exchanges with ULiège professors to prepare project activities in 2024, opportunities for cooperation and continuation of projects in the coming period.

Throughout the working trip to Belgium, the delegation receives enthusiastic and thoughtful support from Prof. Philippe Lebailly, Professor of Economics and Rural Development at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech University (University of Liège – ULiège).
