(TVU) – On June 7th and 8th, 2019 – Dr. Nguyen Thai Son, Deputy Director of Engineering and Technology Faculty and lecturers of Tra Vinh University attended the 12th National Science Conference on Fundamental and Applied IT Research referred to as FAIR 2019 which jointly organized by Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Hue University of Science and Hue University in Thua Thien Hue province.
At the conference, Tra Vinh University had 09 authors who participated at 3 subcommittees including Information System, Multimedia Technology, Science and Computational Technology with 5 papers which are: (1) A ROBUST DIGITAL IMAGE WATERMARKING ALGORITHM BASED ON DWT, DCT, SVD AND SIFT FEATURE – Vo Thanh C, Vo Phuoc Hung, Tram Hoang Nam, Nguyen Thai Son, Do Thanh Nghi; (2) REVERSIBLE DATA HIDING FOR STEREO IMAGES BASED ON HISTOGRAM SHIFTING AND EMD MECHANISM – Huynh Van Thanh, Vo Phuoc Hung, Nguyen Thai Son, Tram Hoang Nam, Do Thanh Nghi; (3) REVERSIBLE DATA HIDING BASED ON CONTEXT PREDICTION AND EMD – Tram Hoang Nam, Huynh Van Thanh, Vo Thanh C, Duong Ngoc Van Khanh, Nguyen Thai Son; (4) IMPROVED WEIGHTING USING EXTRACTION TECHNOLOGY MULTIFEATURES IN DETECTING DUPLICATE BUG REPORTS – Nhan Minh Phuc, Nguyen Hoang Duy Thien; (5) SECOND ORDER MUTATION TESTING FOR LUSTRE PROGRAMS – Le Van Phol, Nguyen Thanh Binh, Loannis Parissis
These are 5 in 92 excellent papers selected from nearly 160 national registration papers, including 38 papers which were submitted in English. In addition, there are also 2 papers of guests from Ho Chi Minh National University and the University of Technology Sydney, and 02 guest’s papers from two enterprises namely VinTech City & FPT Software of Da Nang.
Tra Vinh University had 01 paper from the author group of Vo Thanh C which was evaluated in the 10 best-quality papers of the conference by the conference’s committee.
Dr. Nguyen Thai Son, Deputy Director of the Engineering and Technology Faculty – Tra Vinh University, said: “FAIR is an annual forum that attracts special attention of the community of domestic and foreign fundamental and applied researchers. Tra Vinh University participates with the goal of sharing research works of the university’s lecturers, and also takes advantage of opportunities to exchange to improve research capabilities and to promote those with domestic and foreign scientists and enterprises”
According to information from the committee, this year’s conference has received special attention of many domestic and foreign people from experts, scientists, lecturers, students and enterprises. The number of papers has also increased compare to it in 2018 that being 80 of 141 papers selected.
The conference has invited prestigious scientists to review all the papers submitted in 2 months. Criteria for approval base on the creativity and the urgency of applied research. The approved papers will be published in full text after the author presents at the conference, editted and finalized based on the comments of the committees.
