(TVU) – In the middle of June, 2018, Tra Vinh University (TVU) organized a talk on philosophy teaching and learning methods with the participation of philosophers including Professor Jay Campbell, Louis Community College, USA and Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice- Chairman of TVU Advisory Council as well as lecturers and students of TVU School of Political Studies.
This talk aimed at improving philosophy teaching and learning methods in Vietnamese and American institutions. Along with the interesting discussion between the philosophers and the students about the role of philosophy to the social development, the talk also focused on the similarities between western philosophy and eastern one.
Aside from discussing philosophy teaching and learning methods, the talk also plays a vital role in improving the students’ understanding about the role of philosophy to the social development in the world in general and in each country in particular.
