The event sees the attendance of Mr. Trinh Van Ngoan, Deputy Director of Vinh Long Department of Education and Training; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Diem Trang, Party Secretary, Principal of Vo Van Kiet High School; representatives of high school leaders in the province; representatives of universities in the Mekong Delta region and over 500 students from Vo Van Kiet, Vinh Xuan, Luu Van Mot, Nguyen Thong, Pham Hung, Pham Van Dang, Tra On, Vinh Long, Hieu Nhon, Nguyen Hieu Tu, Long An, Huu Thanh, Luu Van Liet, Trung Vuong, Hieu Phung and Tran Dai Nghia schools.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Trang, Party Secretary and Principal of Vo Van Kiet High School, says this is the first time the Vung Liem education sector has organized an expanded STEM Career Orientation Day for students in the area. Many exciting activities include touring the invention space, drone competitions, water car racing, Robocon performances, and a technical research idea contest with STEM lessons, STEM experiences, and technical research activities.
Joining the judging panel for the technical research idea contest, Ms. Chau Nguyen Tram Yen, Vice Dean of Applied Chemistry Faculty at Tra Vinh University, says the event’s meaningful activities significantly contribute to student career orientation. The technical research contest not only allows students to explore science but also realizes digitalization goals, as STEM is the foundation for intelligent education.
At Tra Vinh University’s consulting booth, many students show interest in the university’s majors. Here, they receive information, exchange and have all questions about admission regulations, policies, and post-graduation job opportunities answered.
On this occasion, Tra Vinh University presents a 10 million VND sponsorship and accompanies students at the event.
STEM connects subjects in harmony. The event helps promote STEM to students, showing that everyone can apply learned knowledge to life. The high school IT, robotic and STEM products exhibited at the event demonstrate that STEM education moves beyond theory to highly practical applications. |
