Tra Vinh University accompanies the Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training to work in Cambodia

On August 22, 2023, the Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, accompanies a working delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training, led by Mr. Pham Quang Hung, the Director of the International Cooperation Department, to visit and work with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of Cambodia.

The delegation includes representatives from the leadership of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, Friendship School 80, Can Tho University, and Tra Vinh University, visiting and working with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of Cambodia as part of the Vietnam-Cambodia educational cooperation program.

Mr. Hun Chanrith, Deputy Director-General of the General Administration of Administration and Finance, Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of Cambodia, welcomes the delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam to Cambodia. He expresses appreciation on behalf of the Cambodian government and people for Vietnam’s ongoing support in developing and training human resources in Cambodia. He also thanks the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam for their constant concern for Cambodian students studying in Vietnam and hopes for improved student exchanges between the two countries in the future.

He appreciates the warm and enthusiastic welcome from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of Cambodia for the working delegation. Mr. Pham Quang Hung, the Director of the International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, desires to further strengthen the cooperation between the two ministries in the fields of education and training.

During the meeting, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University, shared information about the academic progress of Cambodian exchange students at Tra Vinh University. She hopes that in the future, the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of Cambodia will continue to support Tra Vinh University in career counseling and admissions in Cambodia. She also hopes for assistance in connecting the university with Cambodian ministries and departments to explore opportunities for cooperation in economics, culture, education, agriculture, and contribute to strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries.

During this visit, the working delegation also visits the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, the Khmer-Vietnamese People’s Association in Phnom Penh, Tien Tien Cambodia-Vietnam Primary School, and Vietnamese exchange students studying at the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
