TVU – In October 2024, Tra Vinh University (TVU) completed the second-cycle external evaluation conducted by the Education Quality Accreditation Center of Ho Chi Minh City National University, revealing remarkable achievements across multiple domains. The official survey from October 15-19, 2024, represented a critical milestone in validating the university’s educational quality and operational transparency, comprehensively assessing 25 standards and 111 specific criteria established by the Ministry of Education and Training. The evaluation process involves detailed document analysis, interviews with 10 different stakeholder groups, direct discussions with administrative and academic staff, and observations of teaching, learning, and extracurricular activities.
TVU demonstrated exceptional performance, with 109 out of 111 criteria scoring 4 points or higher and all 25 standards achieving an average score of 4.00 or above. The evaluation team recognized TVU’s significant developments, including a robust governance system, sustainable management mechanisms, substantial investments in modern infrastructure, advanced information technology systems, and implementation of AUN-QA quality assurance standards. The university’s strategic vision of becoming an “advanced, application-oriented, internationally integrated university” was strongly emphasized throughout the assessment.
While the evaluation highlighted numerous strengths, the team also provided recommendations for future enhancement, including clarifying the “multi-disciplinary” orientation in vision and mission statements, strengthening internal and external communication, and promoting collaborative benchmarking with domestic and international educational institutions. The external evaluation is a testament to TVU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, demonstrating the institution’s dedication to continuous improvement, strategic development, and meeting societal needs while maintaining international competitiveness.
