(TVU) – Tra Vinh University has recently secured international accreditation for four additional academic programs through the European Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), bringing its total number of internationally certified programs to 23, including AUN-QA, FIBAA, and ABET standards. This achievement places TVU among the Vietnamese universities with the highest international accreditations, demonstrating the institution’s persistent efforts to enhance educational quality and align with global standards.

The four programs receiving FIBAA recognition in March 2025 are: Bachelor’s in Sports Management, Bachelor’s in Office Administration, Master’s in Health Management, and Master’s in Educational Management.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, TVU’s Rector, states: “International accreditation is not merely a title but represents our strong commitment to ensuring educational quality and global integration. The increasing number of accredited programs provides TVU students greater opportunities in the international job market while building solid confidence among students, businesses, and society.”

According to university leadership, this success reflects the continuous efforts of staff, faculty, students, and employees, along with support from central and local government agencies and domestic and international partners in cooperation, investment expansion, innovation, and improving teaching quality, learning activities, and scientific research, while pursuing community service values and social responsibility. Students enrolled in AUN-QA, FIBAA, and ABET-accredited programs at TVU enjoy significant advantages when seeking employment, integrating into the international labor market, and developing personally.

The university now boasts 11 FIBAA-accredited programs (Business Administration, Economics, Law, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Sports Management, Office Administration, MBA, Master’s in Economic Management, Master’s in Health Management, and Master’s in Education Management); 11 AUN-QA accredited programs from Southeast Asia (Agriculture, Aquaculture, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy, Khmer Language, Engineering in Food Technology, Early Childhood Education, and English Studies and Master’s in Cultural Studies); and one ABET-accredited program from the United States (Information Technology).

Additionally, the College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA), College of Economics and Law (CEL), and College of Medicine and Pharmacy (CMP) have four programs awaiting ABET and AUN certification: Primary Education (AUN-QA), Construction Engineering Technology (ABET), Mechanical Engineering Technology (ABET), and Electrical-Electronic Engineering Technology (ABET). According to Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) standards, the Odonto-Stomatology program has also received quality accreditation.

Pursuing international accreditation has been a key strategy that the university has persistently implemented over many years. Accreditation standards like AUN-QA, FIBAA, and ABET require continuous improvement in curriculum content, faculty qualifications, facilities, and student outcomes. This process helps TVU constantly enhance teaching quality, ensuring graduates have the competencies to meet the increasing demands of domestic and international labor markets.

TVU has implemented a series of synchronized solutions to maintain and expand accreditation. The university has invested heavily in modern infrastructure, building advanced laboratories and research centers. Simultaneously, it focuses on faculty development through international training programs and collaborations with over 90 educational partners worldwide to enhance teaching and research capabilities. Additionally, accelerating digital transformation in teaching and training management is a strategic move helping TVU quickly adapt to new educational trends.

In the coming period, TVU will continue expanding programs based on social needs and strongly applying digital technology in education. With clear development orientations and sustainable strategies, Tra Vinh University is affirming its domestic position and reaching regional and international standards, becoming one of Vietnam’s pioneering educational institutions in quality assurance and global-standard human resource training.

The university actively considers potential social impact in its training programs to update them according to labor market requirements, with participation from stakeholders, especially students and the business community. It is expanding cooperative education programs with businesses, offering customized training, and promoting international quality accreditation standards.
