TVU – On the afternoon of November 18, 2024, the Advisory Board of Tra Vinh University holds its annual meeting to review 2024 activities and set new strategic directions. Mr. Tran Hoan Kim – Advisory Board Chairman; Professor Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – TVU Council Chairman; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa – TVU Rector, chairs the meeting; board members, experts, Party Committee leaders, and department representatives also attend.
The Advisory Board plays a crucial role in long-term strategic development, helping the university improve its strategic planning, enhance autonomy, and advance toward becoming a leading educational institution. In 2024, advisory activities focus on developing training programs, strengthening university-business partnerships, promoting scientific research, and ensuring training quality.
The Board continues to innovate its operational methods with systematic, specific task assignments, creating a solid foundation for Tra Vinh University’s development programs. Working closely with university leadership, the Board aligns action plans with university strategic objectives and Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee resolutions.
Through effective guidance, the university implements its 2023-2025 strategic plan with a vision toward 2030, targeting autonomy in training, scientific research, and community service. Tra Vinh University develops an “Educational Ecosystem” featuring nearly 50 undergraduate programs, 25 master’s programs, 10 doctoral programs, and various medical specializations aligned with labor market demands.
The Board advises developing the CO-OP model (university-business collaboration) with over 200 participating companies, providing students with practical internships and work experiences. Over the past five years, Tra Vinh University has conducted 187 scientific research projects at various levels, reflecting strong research development.
The Advisory Board supports technology transfer programs and international cooperation, enhancing research quality and local service delivery. Their guidance proves effective in quality assurance, with 19 programs achieving international standards through institutional and program-level accreditation.
Delegates contribute opinions and participate in conference discussions.
Looking forward, board members focus on strategic consulting in health sciences, agriculture, and digital transformation. They plan to collaborate with government departments and international partners to expand cooperation and attract resources from prestigious global educational institutions.
Additionally, they advise on strengthening institutional autonomy and developing high-quality human resources for local and regional needs.
