Tra Vinh University awards 102 Tet holiday gifts to disadvantaged households in two sponsoring communes


(TVU) – On December 29, 2023, Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, and the delegation visit and give Tet holiday gifts to lonely older people, families, and children in difficult circumstances in Phong Thanh commune, Cau Ke district and Truong Long Hoa commune, Duyen Hai town, Tra Vinh province.


At the two sponsoring communes, Tra Vinh University awards 102 gifts, each worth from 500,000 VND to 700,000 VND, including necessities such as noodles, cooking oil, soy sauce, sugar, milk, cakes, bicycles, etc., with a total amount of more than 70 million VND, mobilizing from the collective of officials, union members of Tra Vinh University and sponsors.

Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, said this is an annual activity, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity of the staff and lecturers of Tra Vinh University, especially on every Tet holiday. With the gifts from the School, the Vice-Rector hoped to contribute more joy and happiness to households on the occasion of the new year.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Truong Long Hoa Commune, thanked the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Tra Vinh University for their support and care in giving meaningful and warm spring gifts to the households in difficult circumstances in the commune.
