TVU – Tra Vinh University (TVU) hosts on November 17 a Japanese cultural experience event at its football field, drawing many students to participate.

Organized by the TVU’s Center of Community Service, the event features a variety of engaging activities to promote interaction, exploration, and a deeper understanding of the unique culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. Here, students can enjoy a feast of many signature Japanese dishes, such as sushi, tempura, nikuyaki, etc., to learn about the distinctive culinary traditions of Japan. The beautifully decorated food stalls make the event more appealing and create an authentic Japanese atmosphere at Tra Vinh.

Additionally, students can learn some basic Japanese phrases and respectful communication etiquette, a vital and beautiful aspect of Japanese culture. The event also features iconic Japanese cultural symbols, such as Torii—a traditional Japanese gate, a display of a thousand paper cranes, carp streamer decorations, etc.

This event allows students to gain a comprehensive perspective on Japanese culture. By exploring Japan’s unique cuisine and the subtlety of its traditions and manners, TVU students can broaden their horizons and foster stronger connections with international peers.
