(TVU) – From February 24 to 28, the Student Affairs Department of Tra Vinh University organizes a professional training workshop for nearly 160 student leaders and deputy leaders from regular undergraduate programs of the 2024 cohort. The comprehensive training program represents a strategic initiative to develop leadership skills and enhance student engagement across the university.
Ms. Pham Quoc Khanh, Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department, emphasizes the critical role of class representatives as vital communication bridges between the university and students. She underscores the importance of class leaders collaborating effectively with university functional units, supporting student development, and creating optimal learning environments. The training will equip students with essential management skills, institutional knowledge, and leadership capabilities.
The workshop covers many critical topics, including ministerial circulars on student performance evaluation, university assessment regulations, student management protocols, and cybersecurity guidelines. Participants engage in comprehensive training modules focusing on communication strategies, document drafting, organisation of extracurricular activities, and effective leadership techniques. These sessions are designed to provide students with practical skills that extend beyond traditional academic learning.
Throughout the program, student leaders explore various aspects of institutional management, learning to navigate complex administrative processes and develop interpersonal skills. The training emphasizes the importance of teamwork, communication, and proactive problem-solving in creating a dynamic and supportive academic environment. Participants are encouraged to develop a holistic understanding of their roles and responsibilities as student representatives.
The workshop concludes with a certificate presentation ceremony, recognizing the participants’ commitment to leadership development and institutional engagement. This final acknowledgement serves as both a motivation and a validation of the student’s newly acquired skills and knowledge. By investing in student leadership training, Tra Vinh University demonstrates its commitment to cultivating capable, responsible, and innovative student leaders who can effectively support their peers and contribute to the university’s academic community.
This initiative reflects the institution’s forward-thinking approach to education, which goes beyond traditional classroom learning to develop well-rounded, capable individuals prepared to take on leadership roles in their academic and professional futures.
