Tra Vinh University coordinated with Tra Vinh Youth Union to hold a meeting to celebrate the 62th Traditional Student Day


On January 8th, 2012, at the Hall of Faculty of Agriculture & Aquaculture of TVU, the meeting to celebrate the 62th Traditional Student Day was held with the coordination between Tra Vinh Youth Union and TVU. The meeting was attended by Ms. Son Thi Anh Hong- Vice President of Tra Vinh People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Hoan Kim- President of TVU Advisory Council, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung- Vice Rector of TVU, Mr. Duong Hoang Sum- Secretary of Tra Vinh Youth Union, leaders of Tra Vinh departments and 800 students from High schools, Colleges and Tra Vinh University in Tra Vinh city.

At the meeting, Mr. Thai Phuoc Loc- Deputy Secretary of Tra Vinh Youth Union gave a speech to review the Traditional Student Day with the typical heroes and heroines such as Mr. Tran Van On, Mr. Ly Tu Trong or Ms. Dang Thuy Tram.

Looking back 62 years of building and developing Vietnamese student movement and Vietnam Student Association, we are very proud of our students those who have the patriotism like their forefathers.

Maintaining the tradition of the former people, in our modern time, there are many examples of students who overcome difficulties to study well, get the highest results in national or international examinations, have scientific researches applied in real life.

Ms. Son Thi Anh Hong- Vice Chairwoman of Tra Vinh People’s Committee proposed the students, the youth in Tra Vinh Province to define clearly their role and tasks for their home c  ountry so that they try their best to study, to train themselves, to live with ambition and honestly, to participate actively in the mevements of Youth  Union and student Association contributing to bulid Tra Vinh more properous.

On behalf of Tra Vinh Youth Union, Mr. Thai Phuoc Loc expressed their deep gratitude to leaders of Tra Vinh Province, departments and unions in the province who have directed and supported the movement of Youth Union and Student Association in recent years.
