Tra Vinh University coordinated with Vancouver Island University (VIU) to hold the workshop on studying abroad programs at VIU, Canada

In the morning of March 4th, 2012, the workshop on studying abroad programs at VIU was held at Workshop 2, Campus I of TVU. Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung- Vice Rector of TVU, Mr. Richard Payne, Mr. David Butler- representatives of VIU, parents and students in Tra Vinh province attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Richard Payne introduced some features about the country, people in Canada, Nanaimo Province and the benefits of studying at Malaspina High school (of VIU) presented by Mr. David Butler. In addition, Mr. Richard Payne introduced the training programs available at VIU, extracurricular activities of students at VIU, English requirements, etc. He also answered the related questions on working on and outside campus at VIU, working visa after graduations, etc.

Especially, the cooperative programs, BBA, between VIU and TVU offered the learners opportunity to reach higher education with lower fee. With this program, students will study the first stage in Vietnam and the second stage at VIU to get Bachelor degree from VIU.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung- Vice Rector of TVU expressed his pleasure to the representatives of VIU. He believes that the cooperation between the two universities will be more sustainable for the objectives of bringing the quality education for the community.

On the occasion, Mr. Dung encouraged the parents and students to choose this program with economical tuitions but getting the standard education.
