TVU – The Dormitory Management Board of Tra Vinh University organizes cultural performances, traditional games, and calligraphy activities on January 15, 2025, creating a warm Lunar New Year atmosphere for local and international students.

The event sees the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Head of Dormitory Management Board; Mr. Nguyen Duy and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mai Kha, Deputy Heads of the Board, along with staff members and over 200 students.

The festive spirit fills the dormitory campus with engaging activities. The program opens with a traditional piggy bank-breaking game, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and staff. The broken ceramic piggy banks reveal red envelopes containing meaningful New Year wishes, decorative keychains, lucky money, and special surprise prizes for the most fortunate participants.

Students also enjoy the traditional “picking fortune” activity, collecting red envelopes from decorative cherry blossom branches, symbolizing luck and prosperity. The atmosphere grows more vibrant with cultural performances by students and dormitory staff, each act serving as a heartfelt gift to the audience. Familiar songs and energetic dances help ease homesickness and create a warm holiday atmosphere.

Through this program, the university aims to provide students with a warm Tet celebration while preserving and promoting traditional cultural values. The event reflects hopes for a peaceful and happy new year for all participants.
