The fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 takes place as the country enters a strong development phase, strengthening the implementation of school cultural activities at Tra Vinh University.

The event features various activities to promote reading culture and spread the values of books and reading from March 1 to April 23, 2025. According to the Center of Excellence in Learning Resources and Innovation, this year’s event carries meaningful messages: “Reading Culture – Connecting Communities,” “Books Accompanying the Nation’s Rising Era,” and “Reading – Enriching Knowledge, Nurturing Aspirations, Promoting Innovation and Creativity.” The event honors the great values of books and allows everyone to spark their passion for reading while raising awareness about the importance of reading culture in society’s development.

This annual event at Tra Vinh University aims to encourage and develop the reading movement, build reading habits, honor the value of books and reading culture, and create positive changes in promoting good books to students.

The 2025 Book and Reading Culture Day includes new introductions, book displays, book giveaways, a recycled material flower pot design contest, a book review video contest, and awards for the top 5 readers who used the library most frequently in 2024. These individuals exemplify a passion for learning, research, and self-development through library resource utilization.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh, Deputy Director of the Center of Excellence in Learning Resources and Innovation, shares that Tra Vinh University implements practical solutions to inspire reading culture among students. The university focuses on developing and innovating the school library system and organizing book-related events to honor book values and spread reading culture in education.

The Center of Excellence in Learning Resources and Innovation spans over 5,000 square meters, featuring an auditorium, self-study rooms, learning resource rooms, research rooms, internal resource rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, break rooms, and computer rooms. It houses nearly 42,000 titles of books, textbooks, and print journals, along with about 14,000 electronic databases and digital library resources (books, journals, ebooks, textbooks, teaching materials, dissertations, theses, projects, and graduation papers). The Center provides free access to digitized learning materials and domestic and international books and journals.

The Center is an ideal destination for lecturers, students, and graduates. It offers spacious, clean, well-ventilated spaces equipped with air conditioning systems, creating a comfortable reading, studying, and research environment.
