Tra Vinh University held a course ending ceremony for students majoring in Applied Chemistry course 2007-2011

On December 31st, 2011, Tra Vinh University held a course ending ceremony for 20 students majoring in Applied Chemistry  at My Lan Group – Long Duc Industrial Zone, Tra Vinh Province. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tong Minh Vien- Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh People’s Committee, Mr. Le Van Huong- Vice Director of Tra Vinh Planning & Investment Department, Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh- Rector of TVU, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung- Vice Rector of TVU, Dr. Nguyen Thanh My- Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer, Dean of TVU Applied Chemistry Department, TVU lecturers, Parents and 20 new Graduates.
This is the first Cooperative Training program (co-op) between TVU and My Lan Group. After four and a half years of training, students had the knowledge of theory and experiment practice on modern techniques and the practicum duration at My Lan Group with the supervision of domestic and foreign scientists and good engineers of My Lan Group helped them get more working experience and soft skills. The result of the course marked the success of the co-op program of TVU with My Lan Group. Nearly 90 percent of the students passed the graduation examination in which four of them got the very good rank and sixteen got the pretty good rank. At present, 18 Graduates are officially working at My Lan Group and two graduates has funded to take a short training course in Canada.
In his speech at the Ceremony, Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh congratulated the new Engineers for completing their learning tasks and reminded them to make more effort at work. He encouraged them to apply what they have learned from university into their work to become useful citizens for society and make their hometown- Tra Vinh more prosperous. He also expressed his deep thanks to enterprises, departments especially My Lan Group which cooperated with TVU to accomplish the training mission in training the high-tech human resource for Tra Vinh Province. He hoped that the Co-op program between TVU and My Lan Group would be stronger and sustainable.


At the Ceremony, Ms. Lam Thi Thuy Kieu- the new Graduate gave her best gratitude to her parents, lecturers, friends and her supervisors at My Lan Group. On behalf of all graduates at the ceremony, she promised to constantly strive at work, to improve learned knowledge and to apply what they have studied into the development of the country and hometown.
