Tra Vinh University holds DACUM workshop for entrepreneurship and business management

TVU – On October 10, Tra Vinh University organized a Developing A Curriculum (DACUM) Workshop for the Entrepreneurship and Business Management specialization within the Business Administration program at the undergraduate level. The workshop attracts strong participation from businesses, startup experts, education managers, and lecturers, creating an extensive forum for exchanging ideas about professional competencies in the field of entrepreneurship.

MSc. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Standing Vice President of the National Startup Support and Consulting Association in the South, attended the workshop.

From Tra Vinh University, Dr. Dang Diep Minh Tan, Head of the Quality Assurance Department, and MSc. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Director of the Vinh Long Province Business Incubator, participated in the event.

In his opening remarks, MSc. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Director of the Vinh Long Province Business Incubator, shared that the university hopes this workshop creates a space for exchanging and sharing experiences among experts, lecturers, and businesses in the startup field. This also serves as a foundation for updating and improving training programs, thereby enhancing teaching quality and better meeting students’ learning needs and labor market requirements.

Dr. Dang Diep Minh Tan, Head of the Quality Assurance Department at Tra Vinh University, expects the workshop will create an opportunity for delegates to jointly build, contribute, and complete the Professional Competency Framework for the Entrepreneurship and Business Management specialization. The framework divides into three main groups.

The professional competency group includes skills in initiating and managing businesses, marketing and sales management, and building and developing business relationships. The personal and professional development competency group covers teamwork skills, creative problem-solving, time management, and work organization. The professional qualities group addresses professional ethics, legal compliance, professional assessment testing, and necessary social skills.

In addition, delegates participated in discussions about building a learning environment within the university, helping students gain practical exposure and develop professional skills while still in school.

The DACUM workshop helps clarify the necessary professional competency standards for the Entrepreneurship and Business Management specialization while serving as an important opportunity to strengthen connections between the university and businesses. This represents one of the factors that enhances training effectiveness and prepares high-quality human resources to meet socio-economic development requirements in the new era.
