TVU – On July 15, the Party Committee of Tra Vinh University organized a conference to review the first six months of 2025 and present the work program for the remaining six months of the year. The conference served as an important opportunity to assess achievements and establish specific directions to excellently complete the set objectives. Mr. Lữ Công Tạo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vĩnh Long Provincial People’s Committee, attended and guided the conference.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Minh Hòa, Party Committee Secretary and Rector, emphasized that this conference provides an opportunity for party committees and party organizations at all levels to look back at the past six months, honestly acknowledge existing problems and limitations, and determine clear directions, objectives, and solutions for effective task implementation in the coming period.

During the first six months of 2025, the Party Committee of Tra Vinh University focused on comprehensive leadership and guidance across all areas of work, achieving many outstanding results. Various fields, including political and ideological work, management, organization, admissions, training, quality accreditation, scientific research, international cooperation, infrastructure development, finance, and mass organization activities, all made significant progress.
The university continues to maintain and improve the quality of its ISO 9001:2015 management system while promoting the application of information technology in Party management and administration. Leadership of mass organizations has been extensively implemented, contributing to building a united, humane, and sustainably developing work environment.
Particularly in 2025, Tra Vinh University continues to affirm its position in international rankings. The university rose to 29th place out of 400 innovative universities that have positive impacts on communities and society, climbing 13 positions compared to 2024. This marks the sixth consecutive year the university has improved its ranking in the Top 100, and it has appeared in the Top 200 universities with green educational environments and sustainable development according to the UI GreenMetric ranking for many consecutive years.

At the conference, delegates discussed many key topics, including solutions to improve the effectiveness of developing and recruiting new party members, the Party’s leadership role in admissions work, and solutions to promote digital transformation in the second half of the year and the coming years.
For the second half of 2025, the university’s Party Committee will continue to focus on leading the effective implementation of Party resolutions and directives while completing the set targets and plans. Political and ideological education work to enhance responsibility, ethics, and lifestyle among cadres, party members, staff, and students will be strengthened. Simultaneously, the Party Committee will focus on organizational consolidation, developing new party members, improving the quality of party cell activities, and strengthening periodic inspection and supervision work.
The role of mass organizations will continue to be strongly promoted in mobilizing the masses, advancing patriotic emulation movements, and contributing to building a green, safe, and modern educational environment at Tra Vinh University.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Lữ Công Tạo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vĩnh Long Provincial People’s Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of Tra Vinh University’s Party Organization, particularly noting that 4 out of 12 targets have been completed and exceeded the annual plan. Outstanding areas include scientific research, development of highly qualified staff, expansion of international university cooperation, and learning models following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and style. He expressed confidence that the university’s Party Organization will continue to leverage its solid foundation and dynamic, creative workforce to complete the 2025 tasks, contributing to educational innovation and local development.
