Tra Vinh University Hospital advances digital transformation with electronic medical records

TVU – Tra Vinh University Hospital hosts an appraisal delegation from the Vinh Long Department of Health to review the hospital’s new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This event marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s digital transformation journey toward becoming a modern, smart healthcare facility.

The meeting includes key figures such as Mr. Nguyen Van Be Hai, Deputy Director of the Vinh Long Department of Health, and Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University. Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Nhung, the hospital’s Director, leads her team, while representatives from VNPT, the software provider, also attend the event to present the system.

The implementation of EMR represents a breakthrough in patient care management. The system helps reduce paperwork, shortens waiting times, and improves diagnostic and treatment accuracy. It also simplifies data management and connectivity with other healthcare facilities while ensuring patient information remains secure and confidential. In her opening remarks, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Nhung states that EMR is the key to enhancing the quality of care and providing a more convenient and efficient experience for patients.  During the visit, the supervision council conducts a direct survey of the hospital’s departments and functional areas to evaluate the EMR implementation process. Concluding the appraisal, Mr. Nguyen Van Be Hai acknowledges the hospital’s significant progress. He also highlights the importance of standardizing procedures and strengthening operational capacity to ensure the system’s long-term success.
