TVU – On January 18, 2025, Tra Vinh University Hospital, in collaboration with the Hospital Staff Youth Union and the Local Branch of Tra Vinh Provincial Health Department, organized a free medical examination and medicine distribution program for residents of Truong Tho Commune, Cau Ngang District, Tra Vinh Province.
The program, valued at 30,000,000 Vietnamese dong, provided 150 medical checkups and 100 care packages containing instant noodles, soy sauce, fish sauce, and milk for attending patients.
Dr. Tran Ngoc Sau, Deputy Director of Tra Vinh University Hospital, personally distributed gifts to residents during the medical checkup event.
Mr. Tran Quoc Phong, Vice Chairman of Truong Tho Commune People’s Committee, expressed appreciation for the program, highlighting its meaningful voluntary spirit of social welfare and community service. The initiative specifically aimed to support revolutionary contributors and individuals facing challenging circumstances within the commune.
Dr. Tran Ngoc Sau extended gratitude to sponsoring organizations, including Saigon Dental System (Tra Vinh branch), Long Chau Pharmacy (Tra Vinh branch), and the Tra Vinh Provincial Health Department Branch, for their collaborative efforts in implementing the program.
Tra Vinh University Hospital and its Hospital Staff Youth Union plan to continue organizing similar volunteer programs focused on social welfare and community service, working with internal and external sponsors to support local needs.
