The workshop results provide important foundation for updating and improving output standards, aiming to train doctors who are both “red” and “expert.”

According to Dr. Doan Duong Chi Thien, Deputy Rector of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy, the workshop serves as a bridge between the university and healthcare employers, identifying core competencies necessary for medical students. Through this process, the training program receives adjustments and updates to ensure it meets practical requirements in medical examination, treatment, and community healthcare.

The workshop applies the DACUM method to identify tasks, skills, knowledge, and qualities necessary for general practitioners in the new context. Under the guidance of Dr. Dang Diep Minh Tan, expert groups work actively and engage in in-depth discussions to build competency criteria that include professional competencies, soft skills, and professional ethics.
The workshop results provide scientific and practical foundation for the College of Medicine and Pharmacy to adjust and innovate the medical training program, contributing to training high-quality medical professionals who better meet the requirements of public healthcare in the new era.
