Tra Vinh University hosts professional competency analysis workshop for nursing program

TVU โ€“ On June 26, the Nursing Department of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy at Tra Vinh University organized a specialized workshop on “Professional Competency Analysis (DACUM)” to review and adjust the undergraduate nursing training program.

Master-Doctor Doan Duong Chi Thien, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy, emphasized that the workshop provides an opportunity to listen to opinions from experts and employers to adjust the training program to match reality, enhance practical skills, and improve students’ adaptability after graduation.

During the workshop, participants focused their discussions on core competency requirements for newly graduated nursing bachelors, including communication skills, situation handling, professional patient care, and the ability to work in diverse environments.

The workshop results serve as a foundation for Tra Vinh University to update learning outcomes and continuously improve training quality to meet the increasingly high demands of both domestic and international labor markets.
